 Teaching practice  (19/08/24 - 23/08/24) "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." —Nelson Mandela        This week began with the final paragraph of "A Shipwrecked Sailor." I started by summarizing the previous section before diving into the last part of the chapter. After completing the lesson, I guided the students through a recitation of the chapter to enhance their pronunciation and reading skills.     Our school had a proud moment as we participated in the sub-district sports meet and emerged as champions in the junior football category.             CHAMPIONS... During the second week of my teaching practice, I had several opportunities to interact with students from classes VIII and IX. I conducted four classes this week, during which I completed the chapter Dreams Realised for class IX and began a new chapter titled Success.                  At GHSS Thottakonam, the 78th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm, pride, and reverence for our Motherland. The event commenced with the hoisting of the Tricolor by the Headmaster, Udayan Sir. Hiroshima - Nagasaki Day

Hiroshima - Nagasaki day     On  9-08-2024,    Hiroshima and Nagasaki Day was solemnly observed at the school to honor the memory of the victims and promote peace. The event began with the Principal lighting a candle, symbolizing hope and a commitment to a world without war. Following this, an essay competition was conducted, encouraging students to reflect on the devastating consequences of war and the importance of fostering harmony. The program served as a meaningful reminder of the value of peace and the lessons history teaches us.

Weekly report 1

Weekly report on Teaching practice  Day 1 8-08-2024: Embarking of a new stage in my life. We, the nine teacher trainees, went to Thottakonam Government HSS for our first phase of teaching practice. We arrived at the school at 9 a.m. and met the assigned teacher and principal. The students began the assembly with a prayer song. Teacher trainees were instructed to guide the students. After the assembly, we went back to our seats and attended the classes according to the timetable. The school has also provided the noon meal for the teacher trainees. In the afternoon session, I went to standard IX and engaged the students with activities. The school rang the last bell at 4 p.m., and we left the school after signing the attendence sheet
