FINAL WEEK

Image
This week has been a whirlwind of milestones and action, marked by growth, reflection, and dedication. Yesterday, I officially concluded Teaching Practice Phase 2, a significant step forward that brought a sense of accomplishment and introspection. This journey has been a transformative experience—not just for my students but for me as well.               Adding to the intensity of the week was my supervision duty for the lead assessment exam. Ensuring fairness and smooth execution required constant focus and tested my patience and attention to detail. It was a day of vigilance and responsibility, contributing to the overall sense of urgency that defined the week. Balancing these challenges while maintaining my focus on the broader goals made the week both exhausting and rewarding. It reinforced the level of adaptability and commitment essential to the teaching profession. Each task, no matter how demandin...

WEEKLY ROUNDUP 5

This week flew by quickly, packed with college and school assignments that kept us busy. Luckily, the school's event calendar was light, allowing us to focus on our academic coursework without missing any classes. We started the week with a special class for JRC students. On Tuesday, January 15, 2025, the school observed Makaravilak, a traditional holiday, giving everyone a welcome break to relax and rejuvenate.               On Wednesday, we resumed our academic activities by completing the textual exercises for the chapter "The Merchant of Venice." The students were able to engage with the material, exploring how toys and childhood interests evolve as children grow. It was an enriching session that helped deepen their understanding of the text.         On Thursday, the school assembly was conducted, where the importance of promoting zero waste was emphasized. Students were...

WEEKLY ROUNDUP 4

“ When educating the minds of our youth, we must not forget to educate their hearts.”–Dalai Lama.     Another week passed by swiftly, largely unnoticed amidst the busy schedule of writing tasks and teaching practice. The days seemed to fly as I remained fully engaged, and I successfully completed the lesson I had started last week. A significant change introduced by the school was the decision to organize assemblies and other activities collaboratively. The students were divided into four groups, fostering teamwork and active participation in various events.             Tuesday marked an important event — the parent-teacher meeting. This session provided a valuable platform for parents to discuss their children’s progress, particularly with regard to their Christmas exam results. The interaction was insightful, as teachers shared constructive feedback and offered guidance to help students perform better in the up...

"Your positive action combined with positive thinking results in Success".                                                       - Shiv Khera This week began with the completion of the poem "Solitude". I recapped the previous stanzas and focused on explaining the final stanza in detail. After finishing the poem, I encouraged the students to recite it aloud to enhance their pronunciation and reading skills.       A proud moment for our school was winning the sub-district sports meet, where our junior football team emerged as champions.       During the morning assembly on 22nd August 2024, our principal shared his immense joy over this achievement and appreciated all the students who actively participated in the sports meet. Adding to the celebration, Shihad Shiju from Class 9 secured first prize in the essay wr...
