WEEKLY ROUNDUP 4

“ When educating the minds of our youth, we must not forget to educate their hearts.”–Dalai Lama.     Another week passed by swiftly, largely unnoticed amidst the busy schedule of writing tasks and teaching practice. The days seemed to fly as I remained fully engaged, and I successfully completed the lesson I had started last week. A significant change introduced by the school was the decision to organize assemblies and other activities collaboratively. The students were divided into four groups, fostering teamwork and active participation in various events.             Tuesday marked an important event — the parent-teacher meeting. This session provided a valuable platform for parents to discuss their children’s progress, particularly with regard to their Christmas exam results. The interaction was insightful, as teachers shared constructive feedback and offered guidance to help students perform better in the up...

On Monday, December 2, 2024, students enjoyed an unexpected holiday as the District Collector declared a day off due to a rain alert.        The highlight of this week was on Wednesday, December 4, when my supervising teacher came for class observation. I introduced the first two paragraphs of the new lesson “ Soul Surfer" for standard IX, using various teaching aids to make the session engaging. The students were attentive and cooperative, which made the class a smooth and positive experience.         Thursday, December 5, witnessed a heartwarming moment during the school assembly. The JCI scholarship amount was officially handed over to the headmaster in a formal ceremony. This generous support will undoubtedly make a meaningful difference in the lives of deserving students by providi...

Phase 2 Teaching Practice - weekly Report 1

The second phase of my school training began on 25th November 2024. I arrived at the school campus at 9:30 am, met with the concerned teachers, and was assigned to Class VIII B. Having taught these students during the previous phase, I found it easy to reconnect and break the ice.            The first week of the training, from 25th to 29th November, was a blend of different experiences — from the initial jitters and moments of feeling slightly overwhelmed to genuine joy and satisfaction. The morning assemblies provided a great opportunity to connect with the entire school community. I also felt fortunate to be assigned to IX B once again, a class I had already interacted with during the first phase. This familiarity created a positive and cooperative learning atmosphere, making my transition smoother.                During this week, I successfully completed the lesson "A day ...
