Phase 2 Teaching Practice - weekly Report 1

           The second phase of my school training began on 25th November 2024. I arrived at the school campus at 9:30 am, met with the concerned teachers, and was assigned to Class VIII B. Having taught these students during the previous phase, I found it easy to reconnect and break the ice.

           The first week of the training, from 25th to 29th November, was a blend of different experiences — from the initial jitters and moments of feeling slightly overwhelmed to genuine joy and satisfaction. The morning assemblies provided a great opportunity to connect with the entire school community. I also felt fortunate to be assigned to IX B once again, a class I had already interacted with during the first phase. This familiarity created a positive and cooperative learning atmosphere, making my transition smoother.

               During this week, I successfully completed the lesson "A day in a country" along with its textual exercises. I am now planning to begin the next unit in the coming week.

                  Starting from 26th November, the Pathanamthitta District Kalotsav took place. One of my students, Shihad, made us proud by securing second prize in the event. With several teachers accompanying students to the Kalotsav, I had the opportunity to handle many proxy hours. This gave me a chance to engage with students from classes V to VII, where I conducted word games and puzzles to keep them active and involved.

       Additionally, the school conducted a deworming drive during this week, distributing tablets to all students as part of a health initiative. Overall, it was a week filled with meaningful experiences and opportunities to grow as a teacher.

Weekly Report 8

In the eighth week of my school experience, Iwas busy preparing the question paper for the upcoming achievement test and organizing my observation class. On Monday, the school PTA meeting was held during the afternoon session, so I didn’t have any classes that day.  The school conducted Gandhi Jayanti-related programs, including elocution and poster-making, on Tuesday in lieu of being closed on Wednesday.Additionally, "Sevanavaram" ( a long week celebration) was conducted in observance of the occasion. FINAL WEEK

            This week has been a whirlwind of milestones and action, marked by growth, reflection, and dedication. Yesterday, I officially concluded Teaching Practice Phase 2, a significant step forward that brought a sense of accomplishment and introspection. This journey has been a transformative experience—not just for my students but for me as well.               Adding to the intensity of the week was my supervision duty for the lead assessment exam. Ensuring fairness and smooth execution required constant focus and tested my patience and attention to detail. It was a day of vigilance and responsibility, contributing to the overall sense of urgency that defined the week.
