Weekly Teaching Practice report
(09/09/24 - 13/09/24)
“The well-educated mind will always have more questions than answers.” – Helen Keller.
As the week began, we wrapped up the model exams, marking the end of a rigorous academic phase. With no exam duties this week, we returned to college, shifting our focus back to our coursework and responsibilities. Amidst all this, the vibrant festival of Onam brought a much-needed break from the academic routine. This celebration allowed us to reconnect with our cultural heritage, indulge in festive delicacies, and participate in cherished traditions. Such moments are essential, offering a refreshing balance to the intensity of academic life. With the exams behind us, the next task is to collect and review students' answer scripts. This crucial process helps in assessing their performance, identifying areas of strength, and addressing any learning gaps. Providing constructive feedback is key to supporting their academic growth.
As a final-year student, this year’s Onam celebration held special significance. With our academic journey nearing its end, the festival became more than just a time for festivities—it was a moment of reflection and gratitude. From the intricate floral arrangements to the delicious traditional feasts, every element of Onam served as a reminder of our cultural roots and the bonds we have built over time. Coming together one last time with friends and mentors made the occasion even more meaningful, marking a beautiful farewell to this chapter of our lives.
More than just a festival, this Onam was an opportunity to cherish the friendships, experiences, and lessons that have shaped us. As we prepare for the next phase of our journey, this celebration was a fitting tribute to the milestones we’ve achieved and the memories we will carry forward.
Balancing the end of model exams, the joy of Onam, and the responsibility of evaluating papers has kept us engaged, but it has also highlighted the multifaceted nature of teaching and learning. The school closes for Onam holidays on September 13, 2024, and will reopen on September 23, 2024.
