Weekly Teaching Practice Report

            ( 23/09/2024 - 27/09/2024)

"Education is the key to unlocking the world." - Oprah Winfrey

As the vibrant festivities of Onam came to an end, returning to school felt both refreshing and overwhelming. After a ten-day vacation, a sense of laziness lingered in the students' behavior. While some took time to settle back into routine, others were eager to share their holiday experiences. As they excitedly recounted their memorable moments, I balanced listening with my teaching responsibilities.

One of our primary tasks upon returning was evaluating the students' answer sheets from their assessments. Sitting at our desks, we meticulously reviewed each paper, assessing their progress before the break. It was gratifying to see improvements in some areas, while others revealed the need for further guidance. Once the evaluations were complete, we prepared to return the papers, feeling both anticipation and responsibility. As we handed them out one by one, we took the opportunity to discuss individual performances, offering encouragement and constructive feedback.

This week has been a whirlwind of activity—preparing lesson plans, designing engaging teaching aids, and navigating the ever-present anticipation of my mentor teacher’s observations. As a student teacher, the pressure to deliver effective lessons can feel daunting, but each day is a learning experience, helping me refine my skills.

A particularly memorable moment was witnessing the incredible creativity and intellect of our students at the annual Sastra Mela on September 27th. This year’s event was a true celebration of innovation and scientific curiosity, showcasing the remarkable talent within our school community. The students' dedication and enthusiasm were evident in every project, making it an inspiring experience.
