Weekly Teaching Practice Report
[07/10/2024- 11/10/2024]
"A teacher is like a candle - it consumes itself to light the way for others."
It was a packed week. Monday, October 7th, began with a morning assembly conducted by the students of Class X B. Over the next two days, I completed the lesson The Village Blacksmith along with its activities.
On the same Monday, I conducted the Achievement Test, assessing three chapters: Dreams Realised, The Toilet, and Success. Later in the week, on Thursday, October 10th, I administered a Diagnostic Test covering Grammar and Vocabulary. Additionally, we were assigned an extra English class for Grade VII, further increasing our workload. With only a few days left to wrap up our Teaching Practice, we are in a race against time.
On Thursday, I took a proxy period to provide remedial teaching, addressing the common mistakes students made in the Diagnostic Test. Despite the demanding schedule, there were moments of joy, thanks to my 8 B students. They approached every task with dedication, putting in their best efforts. Their engagement in class discussions also brought forth several new and insightful ideas, making the teaching experience truly rewarding.
